GSO Test

'Success for all, in all we do'

An active week in Year 5

We have all been quite busy this week in Year 5.

Monday's surprise PE session was Hockey which seems to have inspired a number of children to take up the sport.

Here are a few photos we were able to take.

The other big news of the week involved the class elections on Thursday. Each child in school was able to cast a vote for their School Council and Eco Council representatives.  This year the process had a much more formal feel with ballot papers and our very own Learning Mentor, Miss Fessahaye, standing in as the electoral officer.  She was kind enough to arrange for some photographs to be taken, which we have included in a slideshow.

Times Table Rockstars Competition

This week, as part of our informal Home Learning sessions, we are launching a brand new competition for children in Year 5. We would like the children in 5 Larch and 5 Maple to challenge themselves on Times Table Rockstars and the more points they earn the more points their class earns.  The winning class will receive a reward on Friday afternoon next week.

The results of our elections will appear in Google Classroom at 08:50 tomorrow morning. Sign in to your account to see who won!
