'Success for all, in all we do'

Autumn Blog 7 Little Witches in The Woods

We know most people have finished their Halloween fun for this year, but in Fircroft Nursery we are still enjoying pretending to be witches and making magic spells. We have been finding funny things to put in our cauldrons, including dragons' teeth and stinky perfume, cooking them up on our campfire in the woods, then saying "Abracadabra" and turning our teacher into a frog, a horse and even a door! We have also been listening to some really well-written witchy stories: Room on the Broom, Meg and Mog, and Mog is Missing.. Ask your child to do their witch's cackle, it should be quite convincing!

If you need an extra mask, Sharon has made some masks from a variety of plain and patterned fabrics. We are selling them for £5 each (cash no cards!) and all money raised will go towards buying resources for our wonderful Fircroft children. You will see them on display in our Nursery playground in the mornings.
