Nursery Learning From Home 9 - Week Beginning 18th May

Dear Nursery Families

Time has flown past again and we find ourselves in the fifth week of Summer Term learning, and the last week of school before the half term holiday. It is also the ninth week of school closure. This week and each week after half term we will continue exploring our 'Growing' topic, through a variety of themes and stories.

This week's main story is Meg's Veg and we have planned lots of healthy vegetable and fruit-inspired activities. If you have any hats left over from Halloween, you might want to put them on before watching the Meg's Veg story video!

We have also made a video to teach the 'n' sound. We teach the letter sounds very informally in Nursery, and all the children enjoy them, but if your child does not want to spend much time on them, please do not worry. Some children are ready to spend more time on letters and sounds, and other children are more interested in other fun things at the moment. We all learn differently!

There are two Discovery Education videos included in this week's activities. The links should take you straight into the videos, but you may need to enter the following information:

Ok, here comes the techy bit........                                                              You may need to accept cookies or switch cookies on, depending what sort of device you are using. You may also need to make sure you are watching in a flash-enabled browser like Google Chrome. (Other flash-enabled browsers are available.) If for any reason you can't get to the videos via the links, you can search for Discovery Education on the internet, click Login and then Espresso, and search for the videos by name.

Thank you for continuing to share your photos and observations on Tapestry, or via email. If you are unable to access Tapestry, please email your weekly photo and message to us at:

Wishing you all a healthy, happy and safe week,

Susi, Virginia and The Nursery Team.
