GSO Test

'Success for all, in all we do'

Year 1 Autumn Walk

We have had another busy week in Year 1. In English, we have continued our work on Cloudland. This week the children wrote a postcard pretending to be Albert and described what 'he' had been up to in Cloudland! To develop their writing further they have also been learning about adjectives and they have come up with a range of fantastic describing words which they are now being encouraged to use in their writing.

In Maths, the children have been finding one more of a number and representing this in different ways. They have been working so well together to use resources to develop this skill.

The highlight of our week was our trip to Wandsworth Common! The children loved exploring the woods and collecting lots of leaves, conkers, acorns and twigs. The children were fantastic at following instructions but couldn't wait to get back for their lunch!
