Happy Red Nose Day! It's been lovely to see the children come into school today dressed as their various heroes as well as contribute to raising money for such a great cause.

It's been another busy week in year 1! This week in maths, children have been using the tens and ones to represent numbers to 50, as well as finding one more or one less than a number. This has helped them to practise counting in tens and then on in ones.

In English, the children have enjoyed reading 'Billy and the Beast'! They wrote their own recipe with ingredients and instructions to make Terrible Soup (there were some pretty disgusting things being thrown in, including both of us!). They also created their own 'WANTED' poster for the Terrible Beast by writing some great descriptions and clues about where to find him!

Have a lovely weekend!
