School uniform is compulsory for children from Reception to Year 6.

- SWIMMING: Pupils should have goggles, a towel and a swimsuit or swim shorts on the days that they do swimming. If pupils feel more comfortable wearing modest swimwear that is absolutely fine but it should be made of swimwear material and not be everyday shorts and T-shirts.
- Pupils should come to school dressed in their PE kit on the days that they have PE. Please ensure that your child has enough PE kit to wear to school on two days a week. The Fircroft fleece looks really smart with PE kit and keeps children warm on chilly days.

- Navy blue hijab or headscarf may be worn for religious reasons but must be in navy blue only. Sometimes pupils may feel more comfortable removing their hijab/headscarf during sports/PE lessons. Close-fitting hijabs are preferred during sports/PE lessons due to safety.
Uniform Health and Safety Reminders
- Pupils should avoid wearing jewellery to school other than a wristwatch or small sleeper style earrings
- If pupils are wearing any jewellery other than small sleeper style earrings then they will be asked to remove it themselves before taking part in PE
- When pupils are doing dance and gymnastics then they will remove their footwear at school in order to participate in bare feet
- Any footwear worn should be appropriate for the activity, in good condition, close fitting and provide secure footing

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for all weathers as we encourage active outdoor play all year round. Pupils should have a warm coat together with any necessary accessories such as hats, scarves, gloves, sunhats/sun cream as appropriate to accommodate the changeable weather conditions.
